Replacing the bulb in this Whirlpool oven is a real pain in the b--t. it sits in a socket so tight that you can't get a grip on the bulb to remove it.
I called the Whirlpool company and asked if there was easy
way to remove it or if there was a tool made for that purpose? the lady I talked to said there was no tool made for removing bulbs, she suggested I call a service man! I told her that would be like paying $75 to $100.00 to get a $.90bulb replaced. She said I'm sorry that's all I can suggest.
Any help on removing this bulb?

Yes I have seen those rubber thingys to loosen jar caps, but never thought of them for removing oven bulbs. That's a great idea and I think it will work fine.
Thanks bambiblaster!
