Hello All,

I will be wiring a honeywell H1008A to a Desert Spring Drum style humidifier. Looking at the wiring schematic included with the humidistat, I am confused as to whether it requires 2power supplies or 1.

If I interpreted the schematic correctly, I believe it requires 1-24vac transformer on the left side, in addition to the humidifier, and wired to G,W, and C on the furnace board on the right side. I also believe that C on the furnace board is the common 24 volt.

I would appreciate it if someone can confirm the above so that I can proceed with wiring the unit. Also, out of curiosity, if the humidistat already pulls power from the furnace common 24vac location on the right side, then why would it need a second 24vac transformer on the left side?

Thanks for all your help.

1.

Yes, what's on the right side is telling the humidistat what's going on with the furnace or fan, and power for the humidistat itself..

On the left is power for the humidifier. (On/Off Switch, no relay is needed)
