This may be a bit to read but I always try to go back and correct my spelling mistakes and make what I'm writing sound more understandable.
Ok so,
I'm living at my dads house I'm usually here myself and he has this split Goodman central ac/heating system that seems to have some trouble with downstairs internal heat not shutting off.
When I say "internal" I mean its NOT the unit outside that does not shut off i mean the blower in the crawlspace that won't shut off. Its almost as if it was in "em. heat" mode but it is not set to "em. heat".
I first tried lowering the temp on the thermostat to see if it would shut off but it did not it was still blowing warm air. So I waited a bit then I raised the temp up to turn the outside unit on and left it like that for exactly 5 mins then tried to shut it off via lowering the temp again thinking maybe if i did a cycle for it, it would shut off.
The unit outside shut off but the internal blower did not. So then I said "well if it isn't gonna shut off from the thermostat i'll give it a few mins to run and shut it off from the circuit breaker." I ended up doing that so now its off but it will still turn back on if i flip the switch outside on. I also went under the crawlspace when it was running just to look at it. I found a limited 5 year warranty for the system nailed to a beam near the entrance door under the crawlspace.
I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the downstairs honeywell thermostat that is not controlling it properly. No the fan switch is always set to "AUTO" and not "ON" by default and is usually set to "HEAT" and not "EM.HEAT". The heat downstairs is usually set to about 68°F and sometimes i adjust it to 1-3° warmer / cooler depending on how it feels. The same thing goes for upstairs but sometimes i raise it a little higher. You see I have a room over the garage that gets cold at night because its not insulated enough.
The only other info i can give is the model numbers of the units outside.
I have two Goodman unit models outside the one (for downstairs) is smaller and is a CPLE18-1A the larger one (for upstairs) is a CPLE24-1A.
So the main question is how can i fix this mess or what can I do?
I'm only 19 so bear with me i dont know much about the system. :(

Lost here---- Still blowing warm air????? when off?????? Did the outside unit go off then?????? Could take the G wire off the tstat to see if its the tstat. Next is pull G off at the blower to see if short in wire. If still runs then check the blower relay in the unit. Even if you turn the tstat to EME heat the blower should go on and off as need be for heat .With the inside elements doing the heating and the outdoor unit not comeing on. On the inside of the blower door should be a wire schematic. That might help.

The unit outside went off and the small flame icon was gone like it should be when it finishes the cycle on the tstat but, the problem is warm air still comes out of the air vents even after the cycle is done.
this is what the tstat looks like.

The temp seems to be getting very warm throughout the downstairs and not dropping even with cycle done and even when the thermostat switched to "OFF". The contractor that did the system went out of buisness.
This is frustrating me because now I'm going to be blamed for the downstairs heating being all messed up and the extra KWH that the system added to the electric meter when my dad gets back. And I'll have to pay for it. :wall: I'm glad i at least kept it off for now because if i keep messing with it to try to fix it I'm gonna make it worse then it already is.
But I shouldn't put all the blame on just me because he does not have anyone check the system at all nor does he take care of it because of limited funds. Hes trying to keep the house from going into forclosure...what else could possiably go wrong? Oh yeah, we had a few power outages about 3 days ago before he left for a few days.

This can be what did this to the board in the unit.

That icon should only be on if the elements come on and if you are in EME heat.
Id turn the breakers off to the down stairs blower unit and to the out side unit also. The upstairs should hold the home warm for you for right now.;) ;)

Wouldn't the unit not work at all if the board got messed up from power outages?
Anyway, the flame icon is always suppose to go on when going through a normal cycle in regular "HEAT" mode not "eme heat" mode. In eme heat mode there is no icon but rather an arrow will flash repeatedly to just show that it is in fact in eme heat mode.

Ok I got it it WAS the green "G" wire that caused it to constantly run.
[Edit] I tried shutting down the system and letting it sit for 5 minutes and put the screw back in and started it up again its working fine now it was just stuck in "em. heat mode" like i said before so i guess all it needed was a reset. The power failure is what caused it. thanks for the help.
