Greetings from snowy Ottawa!
Just a quick one - I'm fighting a tub overflow leak and have initiated my plan of attack (some hints, courtesy of the kind folk on this board). I'm just wondering how tight is "tight enough" when putting the overflow drain cover back on, and how tight is "too tight"?
Any help would be great.
Cheers,
B.

1st..use a new gasket, with maybe some plumbers putty.
2nd..tighten until it does not leak, plus a turn, more or less, no need to over tighten, there is no water pressure.

It should not be necessary to really over tweak those screws. The main thing is .....use a new gasket. And note that the gasket is tapered. Usually, the thick end goes towards the top. It should be apparent how it needs to go to fill the gap.
