The "big box" that has a fan on top of it that is part of the HVAC system has been making a loud ticking noise. Seems like it is about 1 per second. Does anyone have any idea what this may be or do you need to know what kind of system? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Id say look into the unit there. With the power off check the blower wheel and see if it hits anything. Is the filter clean and new????

Yes the filter is changed on the 1st of every month, so I don't think that is it. And the fan is clear of any debris. I think the noise is some kind of "switch" that is located on the corner where all the electric connections are.
