Hi Everyone,

I am trying to extend my PowerSeries 632 system to incorporate my PC5132 receiver and wireless zones but I need the installer password. I have the master password ... so can I simply reset the installer password? If so, what is the key sequence? Or do I need to go back to the original installer who did the work several years ago?

Any info would be great appreciated.

Basically, you will end up having to reprogram the system. There is no way to "retrieve" the installer code on a DSC system short of a lucky guess. This is assuming that the installer lockout feature has not been activated.

If you have contact info for the original installer, you can try calling them and asking. Some will reset it to the factory code for a minor fee, some will do it for free if they are able to do it by dialing up the system (and some will charge a full service charge, YMMV...)

start by entering *8 0000 then 0001 until you get the number. (takes about 3 hours)

1 problem there may be lock out after a certain amount of incorrect attemps. It will come back but after 15 minutes or so. (If its programmed)

There is a factory reset but it may be locked, unpowering and applying power if you hear a clicking sound. Then the code can not be factory reset.
