Hi all,
Something is going on with my washing machine. Sometimes the basket doesn't spin when the washer hit the spin cycle... I have to manually get it going.
At first, I thought it was because the load was too heavy, but it seems to sometimes happen with lighter loads as well.
Is it possible there's some kind of buildup beneath the basket?
Any suggestions as to how I can remedy this?

Your machine is a direct drive style and it has a drive coupling between the motor and the transmission. It sounds like the coupling is on it's last legs. Repalcing coupling is a cheap and easy fix.

John,
Is there a way to tell if the couping is definitely going before I replace it, or do you recommend I replace it anyway? Is there anything else I should look for while replacing the coupling?
Thanks!

You'll know when you look at it. The black cushion piece may be worn down, a finger[s] might be broken/cracked or the bore hole in the center of each half may be worn. A new one is under $20 and the replacements have a metal insert in the bore holes.
