my 536.886350 model Craftsman 10HP snowthrower won't shut off. I pull the spark plug wire to kill the engine. There is a small OFF--> RUN lever that controls the power. How do I adjust it so that it shuts off?

Check to make sure the wire is grounded & connected to the the control lever and the other end to the engine. A broken ground wire will cause your problem. This is the easiest thing to check.
