All,

During the summer I picked up (literally) a Honda hs-35 blower. I got the engine to run smooth and got a chance to try it out yesterday. I was a little suprised that it wasn't blowing the snow out of the shoot but rather just oozing out. The snow was on a little on the sleety side. I think my problem may be with the engine idle which didn't change when it was going thru the snow. Also, do these engines rev on the high side when at idle and then go higher when blowing snow? Please help.

I have a small MTD 2 stroke and wound up doing the driveway with that with no problems.

Any feedback is appreciated,

Vince

Got my HS35 in 1985 and it acts the same. With wet snow/slush just fills up the shoot and clogs.
Engine does not rev up under load.
When snow is at least 2 inches and augar rubbers are new throws snow 20 feet easy.

Good luck

Single-stage blowers are not designed for slush/watery stuff, even 2-stage machines struggle in those conditions.
