The blower motor on the inside part of my ac unit won't work (what would run if you turned switched the fan to on on the thermostat). The compressor outside and the heater inside will turn on. When I switch the unit the unit on I can hear a clicking sound. The fan will turn freely when I spin it with my hand.

Does it run in the on position ?
If not have it in the on position and give the blower wheel a little push with a pencil and see if it takes off running. "You will have to also push the blower interlock button" If it does run then you should start by replaceing the capacitor.
If the blower starts and runs in the on position with no assistance then you may have a problem with the circuit boeard or blower relay.

No, i've tried pushing it with the interlock held down and it won't keep spinning. A couple of days ago the fan began banging really hard, like a dryer with shoes in it, and then stopped. I took the easy to get to side of the blower panel off. Yesterday I took the other side off and there was a dead mouse inside. It doesn't seem like the bearings are shot, because the fan spins freely as no matter how much I turn it. Is the motor on the fan dead. I've checked the low voltage fuse and its still fine. And I can here clicking when I turn the fan on. Which means that nothing is wrong on the low voltage side right?

You could check or change the capacitor first to rule that out. You will need a new one either way if the motor turns out to be bad, and they are cheap. You could also check to make sure the motor is getting line voltage, usually 120v for regular AC's and 240v for heat pumps, if the correct voltage is present when it is calling for the blower to operate than the motor is bad.

This probably took out the motor. Motors cannot be held back while trying to spin. Mouse probably wedged at some point between squirrel cage and housing and it stopped and burned up.
On just this hunch, I'd pull the blower and take it to motor shop, where they can set you up with new one after they test to confirm yours was shot. Blower assemblies usually just pull straight out on side tracks, after you remove two screws that hold it in.

I may need to clarify. The motor didn't stop, the sound eventually stopped. It continued to work fine for a week or so then it died a couple of days ago.

find the blower relay and test it with your super duper multimeter man. It is probably shot replace it they are cheap.
