I am trying to get old paint off of wood. All I have done is pressure wash. After washing it took some of the paint off all the way to the wood. How do I fix my problem?:

Welcome to the forums!

I usually pressure wash, scrape and then prime all the raw wood. If you are wanting to remove all the paint you may need to use a stripper. Sanding will also help to remove old paint.

A good heat gun works well. Milwaukee Electric tools has a low velocity heat gun that goes to 1100 F. What kind of wood is it? If the Power washer could not remove it all. That means it has good adhesion. Is it that you want it smooth?
