HI,
I'am trying to program a 5804BDV keyfob into a Vista 20P with a 6160 keypad with no success. I have a 5800tm module and a 5881EN receiver installed. The house code for the 5800tm is set for 28 per the install instructions.
I have programed the 4 buttons on the keyfob.
A= arm
B= no response
C= disarm
D= no response
When I use the keyfob for voice status it will say "system armed or disarmed".
My problem at this point is I cannot arm or disarm the system with the keyfob buttons.
What did I miss in the programming or what do I need to add?
I'am lost.
Thanks for any help.
Bob

From the installer manual:
"...but a key is not active until it is assigned to a user
number (see System Operation section, assigning attributes command)."
That's the one extra step they added to the enrollment for keyfobs on the "P" series panels.

That was it. Thanks!!!!!!
One more question.
Do I need to assign a user number to each button on the keyfob?
I have assigned button "A" only.
Thanks.

I _think_ so, as least as far as the arm and disarm buttons are concerned. I guess they did that so that you could set a keyfob as arm only. I don't think the other function buttons need that.

Thanks for all your help.
I will set all buttons to a user number just in-case.
