I have a ademco 20p system with a 6160v keypad. Im trying to add a second 6160 keypad. When I add it I set the add at 17 turn it on and both keypads freeze. Im sure im missing something but what? Thanks in advance.

That should do the trick. You set the keypad address, then use the working keypad to go into programming to turn the address on. If you only had the one keypad before, it _has_ to be address 16 (that one is always on). Try setting the new one to 16 and connect it in place of the existing keypad. If it works, the possibly you have a wiring error.

Enter programming, e.g. 4112 8 00, press *190 and enter a value of 10. Exit programming by pressing *99. This will enable address 17
