Where is it leaking from? What engine is it (model/serial #'s)? We cant tell you how to fix a leak if we dont know where it is coming from or what its on.

gas is coming out the side screw right above the bowl!

Sounds like the float may be bad, remove it and shake it and listen for a slosh or set it in a bowl of water and see if it sinks. Have a good one. Geo

Either the float is bad or the needle is gunked up and not shutting off the flow of fuel. Remove the float bowl and verify the float and needle are still good. If the float doesnt have any fuel in it then check that the needle valve is attached properly and is seating in the seat properly. It is very likely you just need to tear the whole carb down and rebuild it and replace all of the gaskets and o-rings. Without the float, the rebuild kit should be about $12 and is very easy to install.
