Hi,
I'm trying to hang a mirror with an anchor above the fireplace but when I drill I hit what I assume is the metal "chimney" from the fireplace just inside the drywall. There's no room to get an anchor in between there... :wall: Anyone has a tip as far as to how to anchor it please? The mirror weighs about 25lbs.
Thank you!

If the mirror has a frame, attach a wire across the back. Then run your anchors off to the sides of the chimney (best off if you can hit a stud). Leveling a picture that has a wire and 2 wall anchors is a lot easier too.
If the wall is concrete or the like, then you may be able to use a tap-con screw. You definitely don't want to screw into the flue.
If the mirror doesn't have a frame, then there are holders that screw into the wall and the mirror rests on them.
I hope this helps
