Hi, my 1986 doublewide has an electric furnace, I'm not sure what brand or model number. I hope that I can still get some useful ideas though. It seems to work periodically, sometimes it will run fine for a few days and then it stops for a day or so, then all of a sudden it would start working again. If I open up the furnace panel door I can flip the rocker switch to ON and the fan will start running, no heat though. So I assume it's not the fan thats the issue. Would it be the thermostat wire, maybe a break in the line somewhere that makes a connection sometimes? Any ideas?

is there a pattern when this happens?
How's the air filter?

No, I haven't noticed a pattern. Sometimes I can turn the fan on at the furnace, and then turn it back to Auto and it would kick in, but that doesn't work all the time. It seems to be doing this more often now. For instance, it hasn't been working for 3 days and I hit the fan rocker switch, it ran for maybe 30 seconds before I switched it back to Auto. Within 15 seconds the heat came on. It ran all night and half the day and now it's not working again. I tried the same thing with the switch, but it didn't work.

Do you smell or feel that the heat elements come on with no blower?? Do get blower with fan on at the tstat?? Do you get blower if you jump R to G at the tstat??? With the fan on if you give the blower wheel a push does it run ??? LOOK OUT WHEN YOU DO THIS..

No, I haven't noticed a smell or felt to see if the heating elements are on when the blower doesn't kick in if the temp drops below the setting.
No, if I turn the switch to ON at the thermostat the blower does not turn on.
Haven't tried jumping them.
and I haven't tried pushing the blower motor to see if it would kick in. :)

FYI. I just wanted to let everyone know that the problem has been fixed. It was the sequencer that was intermittent. Heat works fine now with no problems.
