Safewatch 3000 EN system. I've discontinued ADT Monitoring, and I just want the system to call my cell phone if there's an "event.
Yesterday I finally keyed in my Verizon cell phone number into field 160, and the send a "page" into 161, and set 162 to "5" all alarms -troubles, open and closes."
While testing ( the first, and only time, so far) - during the 'countdown' when setting the system to "AWAY" , it called my cell phone.
Once the system was 'on", I opened a door, and nothing...
Any clues as to what I did wrong?
Here's what I entered:
160 - #13cellnumber#13#12PIN#12 ( pause , dial, pause, # <skip greeting> , pin, # <enter pin, press pound> )
161 - #13 #13 5 ( pause, pause, verizon's "5" to send a page)
162 - 5 ( the alarm,trouble, open close option )
Thanks for any help!

It did what you told it to. You told it to call for "opens and closes". That's disarms and armings for non-alam designers.
For the second part of the problem, did you actually wait long enough for the arming delay to time out? And if so, did you actually allow it to go into alarm?

1. I'll try a code "4", alarms and troubles.. and
2. well, I thought I did. Will try again, but with the "4' in field 162.
Eventually, I'll be back... Thanks
