My house was built in 1938 and there is no insulation at all on the underside of the roof, only on the attic floor. With no eaves the only ventilation spots are at either end of the attic. If I put either a radiant barrier or fibergalss insulation on the underside of the roof, how do I deal with the lack of ventialtion? Should I be concerned about excess moisture?Thanks.

The insulation should be added to the attic floor. I don't see any compelling reason to put it along the roof unless the area is finished. You are trying to stop the heat at the house.

I had a similar situation in my current house, built in 1959. Except that in addition to not having any eaves, there were no gable vents either. Only a ridge vent somebody had added in the past. I was amazed there was absolutely no evidence of a moisture problem. I put in gable vents anyway.
