I have a craftsman 6hp, runs good but the shoot cloggs, I notice that there is 2 holes on the auger that my other one has a fin/blade on the center of the auger, is this what helps toss the snow up the shoot? should I fabricate and install them?

Are you talking about a single stage or two stage snow thrower? Be sure to post back with the make, model and serial numbers off the chassis of the machine along with your answer to my question.
