I live in Houston in a townhome.
The master bath is about 200+/- sqft.
The toilet is separated from the main bath by a door in about a 25 sqft area. The bathroom vent is located in this room. The door to this room is always left open. The vent works great in removing odors from the toilet area. However the rest of the bathroom is not vented properly. When we take baths we notice the crown molding looking very wet from the steam and condensation. My picture below should explain everything better.

___________________vent______
|shower_________|____________|
|&______________|____________|
|wash basin______|____________| <-----
|area________________________|
|______________door__________|
|____________________________|
|_______________|____toilet__|

The steam above the level of the door remains (arrow) (I assume since hot air/steam is lighter and floats up)
A solution that comes to my mind
- Add a second bathroom vent near the shower. Splice the duct into the duct from the toilet area. The second vent will be electrically connected in parallel with the first vent. One switch will turn on both the fans. No issue of backdraft etc.....
Is this necessary. Is it feasible. House is 10 years old. no problems to date in this bathroom.

That should solve your problem. Does the duct now go outside some do not and vent to the floor above.

The fan motors pull very low amps so hook up will work fine.

The fan closest to outside will should vent best and aid the other one.
