Tore apart my upstairs guest bathroom...remodeling the entire thing and have a question about insulation.
Above the bathroom is the attic, which being in Chicago can get cold. The entire celing of the bathroom, including above the tub, is apx. 7 feet by 8 feet (6 batts). Right now in the attic is loose-fill fiberglass with plastic sheet vapor barrier.
My question is any recommedations for what to use above the ceiling (attic) and what to use for the 6 batts that are facing the exterier of the house.
Thinking R-30 above celing in the attic with new plastic vapor barrier.
And R-11 or R-13 for the 6 batts inside the bathroom that face the exterior of the house.
Thoughts...and thanks
