we are trying to remove the old plastic bathroom tile from our walls, but it is impossible to remove the adhesive they used. Any helpful hints? We are going to use wanscotting where the tile was, but would like a smoother surface before we do this. thanks.:wall:

If the old tile was over drywall, it is on a thin paper layer. Scrape it off as needed, since it will be covered anyhow. If the drywall gets too dinged, you can skim coat with drywall compound to smooth it out.
