I have a Toshiba TP61F90 that recently went bad. When I turn the tv on, it clicks like it is about to power up, but then the indicator light on the front alternately flashing red and green, and no picture ever displays... any thoughts?

I did not mention that this is a 60" Toshiba projection TV. Any help would be appreciated

Replace the two convergence IC's. They are about 2 1/2" wide and usually located near the power supply cord.

A technician will usually charge around $300 to replace. It requires soldering so if you don't know how to do it, let a pro do it.

Very common issue with most projections, especially Toshiba.

hotinokc - i found a similar thread that mentions the part numbers.

However, two models are mentioned - stk392-110 and stk392-150.

Do you know which ones apply for my tv?

The 110's are the older chips. 110 meaning 110volts passthrough (from what repair techs say).

The power companies have been juicing up home voltage from 110 to around 120volts in the past few years so the little extra voltage plays a number on these IC chips.

Either chip will work, but go with the 150's.
