Hello
We've got a large room we're doing and being a DIY'er and not a pro drywaller I'm getting the pre-mix compound. Now from my understanding I use the Blue Lid "All Purpose" for tape and the Green Lid "Lightweight" for 2nd and 3rd coats? Also do I need to thin both no matter what?

Thinning is a matter of choice, not a requirement. The blue lid can be used for all coats, just has to be used for the tape coat. Green for the rest is ok.

Unless I'm mistaken the all purpose mud has the green lid and the blue lid is the light weight.
I prefer to thin my mud a little but the main thing is to mix it well - helps it to apply easier

If Mark thinks we have the lid colors reversed, I'm willing to bet he's right. Regardless of color: all purpose for the tape coat, either for the remaining coats.
