I am connecting up a car stereo/cd player into my schoolbus. I would like to connect it to 1 or 2 speakers. The unit has the ability to connect to 4 speakers. On the unit it states "never combine outputs for use with 2 speakers". My question is which speaker outputs do I use for maximum sound; 1 rear and one front, two rear, two front? Also do I just connect all 8 speaker wires to 2 speakers? I am a newbie to this so go easy on me.

Just connect those two speakers to the "front" pair of cables.

Do not double up the wire's.

Most likely all channels will be equal. Modern stereos have 4 separate amplifier units, which operate in bridged mode, which is why you cannot parallel them.

It would be best to pick just the front or rear, likely rear. Leave the other pair open and taped.

Just in case, I would adjust the fade to only the speakers that you use. I doubt that it matters though.
