Folks:
I have a disigners choice cieling fan in one of my bedrooms. The fan has a remote control for the fan and lights. The remote no longer works and I want to do away with it.I removed the transmiter for the remote. My problem is that there is a blue wire coming fron the fan unit and I
don;t no what to do with this wire.I hooked the black to black and white to white. The fan works but the lights don't. I assume this blue wire is for the light unit. This blue wire was connected to the remote transmiter. I would appreciate
some help. Thank you in advance

Get the directions for the fan. Contact the manufacturer if you no longer have them.
Or just hook the blue wire to the black wires.
