I have a Whirlpool Heater NUGG*** series in a house, and it is probably about 17 years old. Over the summer I had the pilot light turned off of the downstairs unit. This past Sunday, I lit the pilot light. It got cold here, so I tired turning on the heat earlier this evening. I can here the call go from the thermostat, and I can hear the burners light up in the heater. However, the fan will not come on to circulate the air. Now, the fan will work with the thermostat set to the ON position, but fails to operate when set to AUTO.
Any ideas as to what the problem may be?? Thanks in advance for any asssistance.
