I'm trying to recover a chair seat with naugahyde. The problem I am having is finishing the 1" radius corners so that they are smooth. The seat fits into the opening of the chair and that is why it must be smooth.

Staple down the centers first, then you have to pull and tug right at each corner first and you'll see it looking smoother already, and put a staple there, then you just gotta keep pulling, smoothing and playing with it so you can get the pleats on the underside, then work towards the center.
