I have a 36 volt golf cart, I was wondering if I could hook up a 18 volt solar panel on it to help keep it charged, I know it would need to be put on the charger some but just trying to prolong having to charge it

No. That solar panel you have is for charging 12V batteries. If you connect it to your golf cart without doing anything else it will do _nothing_. No, it won't even charge it a little bit.
What you can do though is remove some battery connections so that you are only charging two of the 6V batteries at a time. Or hook them up in a series-parallel configuration to charge all at once.
I won't even go into details because that's a heckuva lot more work than you probably want to do each time. It would be much easier to drive back to the shed and charge it -- even if you had to push the thing!
If you are willing to spend money, though, what you can do is buy more of those solar panels and hook them up in series.
