Does anyone have some good places to shop for green house building materials? Getting ready to remodel and need to take a look at alternatives. Thanks, Tim

Try Google using "greenhouse materials" as the search object.
Good luck.

'Greehouse' materials is a misnomer, IMHO. Adding insualtion to an attic will definitley help. A Florida house should have at least R40 in the attic. Energy efficient doors and windows are also a must, but most of FL also requires these items to be pierce resistant from flying objects. Very expensive and difficult to improve wall insulation values. Higher efficiency heating/cooling systems will save energy, but the equipment cost to save a few percent on the energy bills is very high. 90% is good, but to get to 93% efficiency will probably cost twice as much.

If we could get Algore to get rid of his mansions, and take regularly scheduled flights instead of private jets, we could save much more that his hot air generates. His electric bill alone could serve 30-40 families for a year.

Sorry, guys. I completely missed the point. I was thinking of a greenhouse used to grow plants and flowers.

Cellulose insulation is a good "green" item. Is is made mostly from recycled materials and is supposedly more effective than fiberglass. I plan to add this to my own house to conserve heat and cooling.
