I have a Homelite string trimmer & hedge trimmer that I bought at HD (as a combo pack) about 2 years ago for $69.00.
Both batteries are pretty well dead & Homelite charges $60.00 per battery for replacements! I found that the Ryobi One + system uses the exact same 18V batteries & you can buy a 2 pack at HD for $39.95!

Right you are!! I just bought the lithium One + drill/flashlight combo pack & wow.........The string trimmer, which always anemic with the original batteries...FLIES! I didn't really need another drill/driver (I have 2 Craftsmen already but they don't stay charged very long anymore either)) but you just cant beat those lithium batteries!

I haven't tried the lion batteries yet , I'm hoping for some Christmas sales to pick up a set

The way HD is selling them is they sell a charger with ONE battery for $99.00...Dont know if they just sell the batteries.
I opted for a drill & flashlight combo ($159) that comes with a charger & 2 batteries. I figured this was a better deal since I wanted two lithium batteries anyway.
