Please help. I have black shoe polish spots on off white carpet and I do not know what to use. Any advice would be extremely helpful. Thanks in advance. Jen

Mineral spirits on a clean, white rag. Blot from the outside of the stain toward the center to prevent spreading.

Mineral spirits are commonly used as a paint thinner. I would think you'd be able to find it at any place that sells paint.

Available all over and relatively cheap, too.
