Help! I used a cleaning solution on my furniture that is made from resin treated polyester, and now I may have destroyed the finish. It has become sticky and I don't know how to restore it. I have tried cleaning with soap and water, vinegar and water, but nothing seems to help. Any suggestions? The furniture looks brand new except for the sticky mess.

What are manufacturer's care instructions? Is there a label beneath the cushions?
What kind of soap? How much?
If you used too much soap, you may have sticky residues. If you used soap containing enzymes and the resin coating is biodegradable, then you could have damaged the resin coating.
Water-based upholstery cleaner is often recommended for resin coated upholstery. Check for care label.
If water-based cleaners, are recommended. Dry blotting with plain warm water to rinse fibers. If in doubt, call a professional upholstery cleaner.

The label calls for a water based cleaner, but like a dummy, I did not read the instructions before I applied the cleaner. Is there any help for the furniture?

Not sure what type soap you used, its pH level, and how much you used. I am thinking the stickiness is due to soap residue. Vinegar water solution is usually pretty good for removing soap residue.
One concern is that you will overwet the upholstery and saturating the padding beneath. After 24-48 hours, dampness can grow mold/mildew and sofa smell musty. Running a fan will help expedite drying of upholstery.

To prevent oversaturation, I like to extract water and other liquids with a wet/dry vac.
