Hi There - I recently purchased an older home that has been renovated quite extensively. The master bathroom has a 2 person frameless glass shower. The shower is constructed of 3 panes of glass as well as a door. There is a metal frame at the bottom but the panes are stuck to one another.

Recently two of the panes of glass have separated from eachother and now have a 1/4 inch gap between them. I can easily hold them together but am wondering what the process would be to attach them together again. I can use silicone caulking but am unsure of how long I would need to hold them together before the caulking will stick.

Any response would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Shawn

Not exactly sure what you are up against there. My glass door sub uses clear silicone and instructs homeowners not to touch anything for 48 hours. Seems long but thats his instructions.:)

pull them together and put some duck tape there to hold them until the silicone dries. let it dry for 24 hours and you should be good to go. if you're not good with the silicone gun then you can run a couple pieces of tape on either side of the joint and them pull them off right after you run the silicone bead and it will look great.
