I recently relocated to Sun City, the land of golf carts. If a guy, just an every day joe, wanted to get a second hand cart, what would I look for? Best makes, models, age, features, etc?
Thanks!

Check with local golf courses and country clubs. They are often the best source of used golf carts. They have to be regularly maintenanced for their users, so chances are that the golf cart would be in pretty good shape. There are online sources for used golf carts, but the logistics and cost of retrieving the cart is a factor. Online searches will provide you with an idea of different models and features available and price ranges.

Due to environmental concerns and the need for energy conservation, an electric golf cart tends to be recommended. You may find that gas carts are harder to find because most golf courses have gone with electric carts.

If a farmer or hunter, a gas cart will give you a wider range, as you can always strap on an extra can of gas. If planning to use the cart to haul heavy loads, a gas cart will provide more power. Some areas have outlawed gas carts due to emissions and noise. Check with local authorities.
