My girlfriend left the wet washing cloths horse next to a dressing table in the spare bedroom near the radiator. the wood now has a patch of dull finish where the wet washing has effected it. How can i restore this?

any help much appreciated.

Thank you

Use a Scotchbrite pad to scuff the surface after thoroughly cleaning to remove wax/grease. Wipe with paint thinner. Apply a new coat of polyurethane in the sheen you now have, gloss, semigloss, satin.
