I have a 46" Samsung DLP TV and I attached component cables for better video. All the channels look fine except for the HD channels. The HD channels seem zoomed in a little and therefore you cannot see the whole screen. For example, football games have the score posted at the top left of the screen. On my TV, the score is cut off when I try watching it on the HD channel. When I switch to the regular channel, I can see the whole score. Anyone know how to fix this?

You should have a Format button on your tv remote.

You should have a menu item called "ASPECT" where the image size can be changed.
Had to change mine last night because the part in The Davinci Code during the grandfather murder scene had the subtitle cut off.

The odd thing I see here is that other channels look normal, except the HD. Are you sure? Have you checked channels that have wide screen pictures? Try TCM for instance.
But on my Toshiba, I have a button labeled "pic size". Do you have the manual and have you checked it out thoroughly?

After being on the phone with Comcast for an hour, we realized that my HD cable box did not have the proper HD screen settings. We went to screens that I never knew existed or were never in the manual and we enabled them all. So, I recommend calling the cable provider if anyone has problems like this.

With 16 years as an installer & integrator, I can't remember the number of times, after racking my brain, calling tech support, and having them tell me to do x. I ask where that is in the manual, and get the old "that's not in the manual".
