I have a 2' + long scuff or scratch on a window pane that was caused from shingles hitting it when they were removed from the roof. The area can not be felt with a finger nail, so I am thinking that it might have just be a scuffed. Does anyone know what I could use to try to clean the scuff before I treat it as a scratch.

If the scuff is on the surface it might be as simple as using a single edge razor blade to scrape it off or rubbing it off with something like soft scrub.

Glass wax/polish may remove the offending scuff.
