Hello. Just a basic question. If a house has had mold (due to a minor toilet leak), been remediated correctly and proof is offered of said remediation, will the house still sell for market value? I have read opinions on both sides of the equation. Thanks

IMO there's no reason why it shouldn't sell for full price. This is assuming that the mold didn't reach the "Creature From Another Planet" stage.

Most of us have had minor leaks around the house and depending on how long they go undetected, and if any damage is repaired and the mold remediated, there's no reason to worry.

Not to say that I wouldn't use the mold issue to try to bargain an extra thousand or so off the seller's asking price. But as a seller I would no more knock off for that than I would for any other damage that had been properly repaired.
