I have just noticed that there is condensation on the back (outside) of my refrigerator where the plastic water line attaches and then connects to the ice maker. It does not appear to be leaking, but it is very damp around the connector and most of the paint has chipped away.
Any ideas on the problem?
Thanks

Warm, moist room air + cool water from the ice maker connection = condensate. Condensate + metal = eventual rust.

You could try packing some insulation in the area where the hose connects.

Thanks for the response. That is kind of what I thought the deal was. It probably has been doing this for a long time, the unit is about 19 years old. I only noticed it because I had to pull it out from the wall to do some painting.
