Oops! claims to remove permanent marker. Anything else containing naptha should also work (charcoal starting fluid is an example).

How did the marker get on the floor ???
If u cant pick up the marker easily,,u may want to ask a friend to come over and pick it up . If not that,, then use a stick to move it along the floor till u can push the marker out the door.

I believe that the poster wants to know how to remove permanent marker marks from finish on flooring. This is an occasional question here.

If the finish is polyurethane, acetone will not harm the finish. How old the mark is will likely determine the success of complete removal.

Denatured alcohol will remove permanent marker. Try it in an inconspicuous place first.
