I have a 8 year old Amanna Side by Side Refrigerator that the double bulbs do not work. Yes, I replaced with new bulbs but neither light up.

To my knowledge would not the switch or the socket be bad? How can I tell?

Thanks

First do a visual check. Look in the sockets and see that the center contact is clean, and preferably raised slightly from the base.

Next, if you have a test meter, check for voltage from the center contact to the threaded portion.

If no voltage, check the switch. I'm betting on the switch.
