Hi,
I have a Kenmore 665 15772990 that isn't draining. I took off a housing on the bottom inside the tub and can see a screen that looks pretty icky underneath...but I can't figure out how to get in there to clean it. I haven't checked the hose yet b/c it looked a little unclear to me when I looked underneath the unit. And, I didn't want to end up with water all over the floor.
Anyone have any thoughts?

If you look underneath at the motor/pump you will see a white plastic tube that the drain hose connects to. That plastic piece unscrews off the pump/motor and there is a check valve in there. Check for debris caught at the check valve.
BTW, you didn't just install a new disposer and forget to knock out the plug?
