I am trying to access the selector switch for a Bosch SMI7056UC diskwasher. This model has a black control panel that is about 5" high, the rest of the door is hidden by a decorative panel. I cannot figure out how to get the control fascia off the door and I don't want to force it and break something. Can anyone help?
I have pulled the pins and removed the spacer immediately below the control panel. Now the panel is loose at the ends of the bottom, but seems attached towards the middle of the bottom. How does this panel come off? Do I have to unscrew the outer door from the inner door and get at it that way?
Thanks,
Joe

Well, I got it open by unscrewing the front panel from the inner panel. Not sure that is the best method. There are two plastic tabs on the bottom of the control panel. First you need to pull the two pins holding the decorative spacer bar to the control panel. Then it looks like you can either press in the tabs (or stretch the black panel so that it clears the tabs) and then rotate the panel bottom out and up. It looks like the tabs at the top of the panel will release after the bottom has been pulled out.
If anyone knows how it should be done, their input would be appreciated.
