We have a Kenmore Elite side-by-side coldspot refrigerator, Model# 106.50592000, that was manufactured on 09/2000 which was bought from Sears in 2001. We noticed recently that the refridgerator section is not cooling or barely cooling. The freezer section works well. Only a very light air is coming through the top vent of the refrigerator. How do I go about fixing the problem.

Thanks in advance for your time and help.

Rick

First thing to is is ensure that both controls are set at the midpoint of the dial. If that's ok then most likely the air baffle is defective or stuck with maybe some frost. It's also possible that the control for the fridge side is malfunctioning. Take off the front grille cover at the bottom of the box and look for the service sheet. it should contain a trobleshooting procedure for the air baffle. BTW- with the grille off you'll probbaly see a buildup of dust/dirt on the coils underneath the fridge. You'll want to clean that off.
