Just pulled all the wallpaper down in my old room in my parents house. What's left is this brown paper-ish looking material. There are some spots where there are holes, but I'm having trouble deciding whether or not the brown paper is wallpaper backing or the drywall underneath. This wallpaper has been up for about 25years by the way. Pics of the wall are below, please let me know if you think I need to pull more, or I'm at the drywall and can start sanding. This is my first wallpaper removal.

Welcome to the forums!
The wallpaper backing is still on the wall. It is easy to remove, just wet it and it will easily pull or scrape off.

How old is the house?
Maybe, if you are lucky, you have plaster walls. It's a lot easier to strip the paper and backing without damage on plaster walls.

House was built in the 50s I believe. I was having trouble telling if the walls were plaster or drywall, but I'm pretty sure its drywall.
