I have a Frigidaire Gallery side by side fridge, model # FRS26ZGH, which has an ice maker. The ice maker stopped making ice altogether. Then the water stopped flowing out of the water dispenser. I replaced the water filter which the manual lists as a typical cause for not making ice, even though the warning light had not yet come on. Then I started getting a little ice but only very little. The manual also states to replace the valve if no ice is being made. But I am not sure the valve is the culprit. The wire switch handle sometimes gets stuck at a 45 degree angle and then it seems to make more ice, but still less than normal. The manual doesn't mention this at all.
So my question is:
Is the switch the likely problem and, if so, what can I do to fix it?
Thanks

Are you still having issues getting the Water? Perhaps the waterline to the fridge is obstructed or the shutoff valve to was closed inadvertantly.....

No the water flows fine now and has since I replaced the filter. It's just the ice maker that produces just a bit of ice now and then, that's what makes me think it's the switch.
