Currently flushing 2500 gal, 4 waterfall backyard pond from oil leak of failed submersible pump sold to me by local irrigation pump supplier.
Have decided to install external, inline pump an have concerns regarding the 1" return pvc line to the filter box at the top of the hill.
The sequence pumps and Iron Might pump that would be needed for 12 ft of head all have fittings that are larger, ie. 1.5" to 2".
Question: Am I going to have to dig up the 1" return line and replace it to match the fitting of the pump, or is there another option>
Thanks for this forum. Appreciate as fast a response as possible as the pond has only a temporary circulation pump with no biofiltration at the moment.:wall:

You should be able to get some pipe fitting that will reduce to 1" from 2" or whatever the line is ...
Either a local plumbing shop or a home depot type place should have the fittings and a helper person to get you all the gear you need.
I would be concerned about the pressure change .... I am not a plumber and would think a 2" to 1" line chane would increase the pressure and therefore the output area might ned to be defuse i.e. double the pressure might be "pressure washing" whatever it was aimed at ....
