we're remodling the bathroom in my house and we took our sit-down tub and added a shower to it.. however, in order to run the pipe up we had to move the faucet/handles back a little bit.. now the faucet pours onto the edge of the tub instead of into the center(ish) part..
what do I need to fix this? i was told that a longer faucet would not be sufficient..

One question to get started. Why did you have to move the control valve back? If it worked originally, it should have been fine in that same position just adding a shower stand pipe.
