My little girl recently dumped maple syrup all over my living room carpet. I rented a carpet cleaner and went over it thouroughly twice. Alot of it didn't come out and now the area is very crusty. Is there anything I can use to break the syrup down and get it out of there?

Hire a pro for this - DIY carpet cleaning machines simply do not have enough power to get the job done.

DIY carpet cleaning machines do not have enough temp or suction or the correct chemicals. Call a pro.

Ditto what was said....a cleaning agent on the solvent side of things well be need to break down the sugar and other soils. make sure when you get a pro...to tell them what you tried to clean it with..that will help them out as well.
